Awards don’t mean anything, but what really matters is the time my family, friends, and fans take to listen to my music, watch my crazy videos, and engage with me online. It means a lot that you took time out of your day to vote and nominate me in the first place! I started work in music to find a new creative outlet. As an independent artist I feel very accomplished and fulfilled, propelling me to elevate myself to a new level with each new challenge I take on! It’s also very exciting to see many of my colleagues in the Washington, DC Metro Area art scene get nominated. Now it’s up to the Wammies board to decide who goes home with the awards!

The awards show features a variety of interactive elements, including a pre-show, red carpet, live DJ sets by DJ Mim, finalist interviews, a vendor expo, networking opportunities, and award winner announcements. The festivities will be hosted by WKYS’s Chey Parker, with performances by Iza Flo & Crazy Legs (presented by Mars Arts), Josanne Frances & Chao Tian (presented by Strathmore), Kayla Waters, Elizabeth II, Noochie, and Teddy Chipouras.
